Shane Radbone knows the recipe for a well balanced life. He was a celebrated football player, having played for Essendon during the peak of his career. At the age of 20, he decided to extend his abilities to the business arena. Taking a chance on an idea he developed himself, he built Executive Fitness Management. Starting with only one client and as a single operation, EFM grew wings and soon boasted of over 3,500 clients with 25 franchises nationwide. This caught the attention of some business bigwigs and soon he was offered to be the Chief Executive Officer of Wendy’s Supa Sundaes.
He decided to sell his EFM shares and take on the position of CEO. In only five years, he was able to turn the company around. Working on his basic principles of success in customer satisfaction, he raised the profits of the business from $75m to $120m. Under his management, the company received various awards for innovation. Wendy’s Supa Sundaes also gained a record for three consecutive years. Because of his exemplary leadership skills, Shane Radbone7-Eleven CEO, picked up the Young Leader of the Year Award in 2004 for his contributions to the industry.
