- Put it down in writing. This is possibly one of the best tips in handling a business. Whether you are a product or a service oriented business, a contract will establish the expectations o both parties. A contract also ensures that you will deliver on time which a client always appreciates. When you deliver on time, you will get paid on time so it’s a winning situation for both of you.
- Social Media is where it’s at. Social media will expose your brand to a completely unique and wider audience that you can possibly imagine. Through new relationships online, you will increase the profit on sales made on these social media network such as Facebook or Twitter. Learning or hiring an SEO specialist will also be very beneficial for you as well.
- Reach out to your customers. It is important that you make every customer feel special. A thank you card sent out to your clients after a project has been completed goes a long way. It sends out the message that every customer is treated as an important individual and makes them feel more important than just being a customer. Customer service is an integral part of any business and there is truth to the saying that “Customer is King.”
- Fight Back! As a small or medium sized company, you must continue to find ways to grow your business. Do not let yourself be bullied by bigger companies. Instead, use the power of marketing and find a niche for yourself. Remember not to spend on anything unnecessary and make good use of all the finances that you have.
